Restaurants like this exist for those days when you’re just too tired to pour your own hot water into a bowl of instant ramen…
I often see the streets of Tokyo sprinkled in bits and pieces of others’ belongings: gloves, scarfs, small bags, earmuffs, etc. It’s common practice to simply place said lost item on the side of the walkway, hanging from a pole or fence, on top of a box or small structure, or anywhere else where it could easily be seen, in hopes that the owner will backtrack and find their item. In cases where you might have left something at an establishment, people are kind enough to take your item to the staff, where it will wait for your return. My friend even got his wallet back from an arcade, with all of his money and ID’s inside. There’s a lot of little differences about Japan that I enjoy, this is definitely one of them.
